Soccer has along history and the game has been played in many countries from early medieval times. The rules of early soccer games were lot different and restrictions free with no referee. Today the rules are base don the Law of the Game and are governed by international body called Football Association or FA.

It was in 1004 B.C in Japan when earliest proofs of this game were traced and a Chinese text from 50BC (approximately) in German museum mentions about similar game played between China and Japan. Romans too have a very old game with rules similar to soccer, but it is hard to determine the route of soccer spreading across Asian and European countries. Each of these ancient time soccer type games had own rules, player number sand ground restrictions and not many of them had any referee body.

Today soccer is played in almost every country with the mist basic rules meeting international game rules for soccer. Soccer clubs are a major league games that has many fan followers. With changing time, soccer has come with better rules for the field, the ball the teams, the equipment, referee and everything related to a soccer game in international level.

Modern soccer game has many big players, events and matches recorded in history books. Every soccer history book mentions name of legend like Pele and Maradonna, who have pushed soccer’s popularity to a higher and international level. Football Association (FA) has been responsible for all the effort sin improving the modern game and brining it to this level.
